POLICIES

In accordance with the Asbestos Hazard Emergency Response Act (AHERA), as implemented under 40 CFR Part 763, Subpart E, and applicable Illinois requirements, Valeo Academy provides the following annual notification regarding asbestos in the school building.

This facility has been determined to be free of asbestos-containing building materials (ACBM) and has received approval for an exclusion from the AHERA inspection requirements pursuant to 40 CFR §763.99(a)(1). Documentation supporting this determination is maintained on file.

An Asbestos Management Plan (AMP) has been developed in accordance with 40 CFR §763.93. A copy of the AMP is available for inspection in the school administrative office during normal business hours, without cost or restriction, as required by 40 CFR §763.93(g). Because the building qualifies for an exclusion, periodic surveillance and three-year reinspection requirements under 40 CFR §763.92(b) and §763.85(b) are not applicable. Valeo Academy will continue to maintain all required documentation and ensure ongoing compliance with AHERA.
